Cosmetology Instructor (1) Training
500 hours:
The State of Illinois requires Cosmetologists with two years’ experience who wish to obtain the Instructor license to complete 500 hours of training, which takes approximately five (5) months on a full-time schedule. The course is designed to teach the methods and principles of teaching. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the State Board Exam to acquire the Instructor license. Instructor program starts are considered case-by-case.
Cosmetology Instructor (2) Training - 1000 Hours:

The State of Illinois requires Cosmetologists wishing to obtain the Instructor license to take 1000 hours of training, if they do not have a least two years’ experience, which takes approximately nine (9) months to complete on a full-time schedule. The course is designed to teach the methods and principles of teaching. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the State Board Exam to acquire the
Instructor license. Instructor program starts are considered case-by-case
